Please review our policies before registering for Makom Afterschool

Payments are made via TUIO, our secure online payment processing platform. You will set up an account with TUIO and can elect to pay by bank account or by credit card. Please note that there are no additional fees when you pay via bank account, whereas TUIO does charge a credit card processing fee.

Tuition may be paid upfront or in five equal instalments (due upon registration, and on July 1, August 1, September 1, and October 1).

Tuition for children’s religious education is considered a tax-deductible charitable donation by the Canada Revenue Agency. Makom will issue tax receipts for the full amount of tuition paid.

Transportation fees (if applicable) are due August 1. These fees are not considered charitable donations and will not be included on your tax receipt.

After October 1, 2021, tuition is completely non-refundable. You will receive a charitable donation receipt for all amounts paid. No exceptions will be made to this policy.

In the case that a child is withdrawn from the program before October 1, 2021, the following amounts are non-refundable:

  • Before July 1, 2021: $600 per child
  • Between July 1 and July 31, 2021: $1200 per child
  • Between August 1 and August 31, 2021: $1800 per child
  • Between September 1 and September 30, 2021: $2400 per child
  • On or after October 1, 2021: $3000 (full tuition) per child (No refund)

In a case where a student is asked to leave Makom Afterschool for disciplinary reasons, all tuition fees will be forfeit, including the registration deposit. No refund will be issued. (We will first work with the child, their teacher, and their family to address any issues; students will be asked to leave only as a last resort.)

No exceptions will be made to this policy.

We are hoping and planning for a September return to safe in-person learning! We will follow public health guidelines to prioritize the safety of our students and staff.

If public health restrictions prevent us from meeting in person, parents may choose to enrol in a online program or to receive a full refund.
