Makom Afterschool is for children in JK through Grade 5, and students can start at any age, regardless of Hebrew knowledge. We welcome students starting in Junior Kindergarten, provided they are completely potty-trained and able to participate fully in class. (If you have children in Grades 6-8, check out Makom ATID!)
If your child has an individualized learning plan or needs specific teaching approaches, please speak to Racheli before registration to make sure Makom Afterschool is right for your child.
We accept registrations from early spring through the beginning of the school year, but will accept additional registrations once the school year begins if space allows. We do, however, often have a wait-list. Makom Afterschool runs September to June, concurrent with the school year. If you are moving or have other special circumstances, please contact us to discuss.
How to Register
- Choose your preferred location
- Review our refund policy. We will make no exceptions to this policy
- Fill in and submit the online registration form. You will need your child(ren)’s medical information including contact details for their doctor, as well as emergency contact information.
- When you receive an email from TUIO, login or create an account and pay the registration deposit. Your registration is considered complete upon receipt of the deposit.

Tuition is fully tax-deductible; tax receipts are sent out by the end of February each year. Tuition covers all classes from September through June.
We are committed to ensuring that finances are never a barrier to participation, and are pleased to offer need-based bursaries to students who would otherwise be unable to attend Makom Afterschool.

No exceptions will be made to this policy.
We prioritize the safety of our students and staff.
In keeping with Public Health advice, we strongly encourage vaccination for all students and staff.
In alignment with TDSB policy, masks are currently optional at Makom Afterschool. We will continue to monitor the situation and may introduce a mask requirement during the school year.
